Col. Collins Film “Spacewoman” Screening March 26

NASA Astronaut Col. Eileen Collins will be our keynote speaker at the Nebraska Women in STEM Conference on Thursday, March 26. Collins was the first woman to both pilot and command the Space Shuttle. Her documentary, Spacewoman, premieres nationally that same week, and we are fortunate to host two screenings in Omaha during her visit.

We scheduled both screenings to align with the conference agenda. You may choose the 11:00 a.m. lunch screening, which allows time to enjoy a meal at the dine‑in theater and arrive at the conference center for registration.  Eileen’s keynote presentation will be at 3:15 p.m.

Following her talk, Eileen will participate in a book signing during the reception from 4:15–5:30 p.m. The second screening of the documentary begins at 5:20 p.m. Dinner will be available for purchase at the dine‑in theater. If you have student‑aged children, this is a great opportunity for them to join you and then return to the conference center for a special student event with Eileen.

The Alamo Drafthouse theater is just half a mile from the conference center—about a 3‑minute drive or a 10‑minute walk.
